I am Manmohan Gupta, owner of this blog. It is my personal blog and has nothing to do with my professional life. I started this blog to share my thoughts with the people who want to remain in touch with me. I also want to use this as a communication channel between my students, ex-students, friends and colleagues.
For those who don’t know me : I teach mathematics in Vidyamandir Classes since 1996. I love mathematics since my childhood. That is why I decided to pursue teaching as a career.
Apart from Mathematics, I also love programming. I started programming when I was in 7th class. To keep my interest alive, I also work for a software company, Nagarro Inc as Head of Engineering.

bhaiya is there any use of giving SAT?
If you have money and parent are ok that you go abroad for studies, then you can give that. It also depends on your chance to get into IIT.
Bhaiya I want to know the what exams must i give to get into the MIT….??
At undergraduate level (i.e. after XIIth), you need to give SAT-I, SAT-II and Toefl.
Thx Bhaiya …… Can I give any of these before completing XII….. especially SAT-I…..??

bhaiya i hv a doubt…in functions 2 module…the graph of x+sinx according to me should be strictly increasing because d/dx of (x+Sinx)=1+Cosx >=0..m i right??but its wrongly given in the module

Bhaiya, I would like to try and get into a college/university abroad after completing school in India (Currently I’m in 12th grade here in India). Should I give the SAT or the SAT Subject Test. An SAT test is coming up on 1st October. Should I give that one?

apart from english what extra preperations(from iit-jee) do we need to do for SAT exam
Bhaiya … in straight line when we had to minimize an expression(like path for minimum distance(OSE13)) … we differentiate the expression to get the value of x such that distance is MIN. ……. but if we have to find the value such that expression takes MAX value (OSE 27..) … then what to do….and if in that case also we differentiate … then how to know whether the expression is attaining min value or max value in a case where both max n min are possible??????

a person hits a target 2 out of ten times.he repeats the experiment 10 times
then what is the prob tht the persons will not hit the target

I depends on the level of your performance. I would not recommend doing that if you have unfinished work.

Sir, I was a student in VMC-A batch and gave my entrances 2009. I have started preparing for CAT. How should I go about it ? Math used to be my favourite subject till 12th, but the scores in the entrance exams killed it. Now I find it difficult to pick up Maths again. Please advise on what to do.

by observing the expression ,it can clearly be deduced that a0=1 and aN=1, from LHS.
But, if it were so then d=0 as a1,a2,a3..aN are in AP.
thus aN=1 but there is no such option.
Could you point out the mistake in my understanding of the question as the Ans is not matching.

If I am not wrong, you are founder of VMC.
Sir, My son has got admission in “Four years classroom programe” at Safdarjang center.
I want that my son join VMC. We both husband wife are physically disabled and not able to pick/ drop our son at Safdarjang center which is far away (around 40 kms.) from my residence. I requested to change the center but they refused.
I am very sorry that my son does not join VMC because of his parents disability.
Kindly look into the matter and help me to get the study center changed to
